In the Glasgow Collection the wood grain springs to life, revealed by wonderfully restrained geometric lines. The design came after a visit to MOMA, in New York, where the historic furniture of Scottish architect/artist Charles Rennie Mackintosh is displayed. Our Collection reflects the combined expression of the modern with a love for tradition. There are even hints of Mackintosh’s renown “Ingram Street Tearoom” in our Glasgow Bed. But while Mackintosh and the Modern Movement reveled in resounding linear patterns, Kevin Kopil has opted, once again to use his artistic furniture design passion to enhance the natural beauty of the wood, and through meticulous craftsmanship to fully reveal the warmth and color of the grain.
